Layout & Design
Performance Objective:
The attendee will be able to understand the basic principles of the layout design of a page (two dimensional format) and be able to create a basic layout design following the principles presented.
Specific Objectives:
* The Attendee will apply the principles of composition to a layout design using photoshop.
* The attendee will create an original idea derived from a series of thumbnail ideas and then into a rough for the layout design using photoshop.
* The attendee will refine the rough into a layout design using photoshop.
Photo Manipulation and Enhancement
The attendee will learn the basic techniques in photo manipulation using Adobe Photoshop.
A. Learning how to retouch and enhance your images.
B. learn to use
red-eye correction
spot-healing brush
make overall image adjustment using “levels” and “auto levels”
adjust hue/saturation and color balance,
crop, “burn,” and “dodge” (cut, darken, and lighten) portions of your image.
fine-detail retouching — including use of the cloning and pattern stamp tools to eliminate unwanted details (or blemishes)
